Comprehensive Quality Testing
At SI, we have the ability to perform various types of electrical and environmental testing. Our facility houses three labs, each equipped for a different part of quality testing–Production, Engineering, and Environmental. We perform a variety of inspections across these labs, including electrical, functional, visual, mechanical, and of course, environmental, all to ensure that the products we make will function as intended. And that includes proper function within the environments they’ll likely encounter, as well as within any larger assemblies or end-use products.
First-Article Inspections for Quality Assurance
On request, SI performs a first-article reporting and inspection, during which we gather together the certifications for all materials and processes required by the original drawing for our customer. We also supply variable data for any drawing-specified tests and measurements along with the first article, as requested by the customer. First article inspections are often a crucial step for our customers, allowing them to ensure that they’re going to receive the products that they need from us.
AS9100 Certification and ITAR Registration
SI Manufacturing holds and regularly maintains the ISO 9001:2015 certification and the AS91000 certification for custom magnetics and electronics manufacturing. We are also ITAR registered and capable of performing soldering for PCB assembly according to the IPC J-STD-001 classification all the way up to Class 3 for high-reliability electronic products in military and aerospace systems.
